Q. How do I know that your prescription drugs are the same as the ones in the U.S.A.?

A. The approval system and manufacturing standards for pharmaceuticals are very rigorous in Canada. Most of the drugs sold in Canada and other countries are the same as drugs sold in the US. Some are the international version of an American drug. Even though they are the same medication, their name may be different and their look may not be as familiar as the one you are used to.

Q. Why are prescription prices so low in Canada and other countries?

A. Prescription prices are lower than drug prices in the U.S. for several reasons:

  • The Canadian Government and other foreign countries set limits on pharmaceutical pricing and caps on subsequent price increases.
  • Our Canadian pharmacy also purchases medicine in bulk, which results in the great savings for our customers.
  • Canadian and overseas Pharmacies operate at lower profit margins than US pharmacies and manufacturers.

Q. Is there a way that I can save even more money?

A. Yes, there is. If you ask your doctor to prescribe a full years supply our pharmacy partners will be able to send you four 3 months supplies over a 12-month period. That not only saves you shipping expenses but also reduces the cost of your medicine because you are buying in larger quantities, which always generates price reductions.

Q. Do you offer price guarantees?

A. Our prices are subject to change and will reflect the actual Rx prices as shown on our Websites at the time our pharmacy partner processes your order. For refills, our pharmacy partners will ask for your consent before shipping medication with price increases since your last order.

Q. Do you charge a shipping fee for every prescription?

A. Many pharmacies include their shipping charges in the price of the medications. There could be one shipping charge per delivery, not per prescription. When you order multiple prescriptions at the same time (maximum 12 prescriptions to the same patient or different patients at the same address with the same credit card) you are charged only one shipping charge, currently US Pharmacies charge: $4.50, Canada and select foreign countries may charge: $9.95 for shipping. Some other international pharmacies do not charge for shipping. We will tell you when you inquire for prices or order.

Q. What currency do you use for quotes and orders?

A. All prices are in US Dollars and all orders must be paid or charged in US dollars. Credit Card companies may add a small additional charge for international transactions.

Q. How can I get a price from your pharmacy partners for my prescriptions?

A. Complete the form on the price quote page and automatically forward it to our Service Center. We will be able to show you your savings immediately.

Q. How long does it take to get my prescription drugs?

A. Your order will be processed by the pharmacy within two business days after we received your properly completed forms and your prescription. Shipping time may vary, but orders will usually arrive within 7 - 15 business days after that, subject to release by US Customs.

Q. What can slow down the processing of my order?

A. At our pharmacy partners, their goal is to get your medication order processed within two business days or less. Shipping and US Customs clearance may take up to 15 business days. Sometimes, this process may be slightly slower if:

1) The customer’s credit card information is inaccurate or incomplete. Always ensure that you copy down your credit card information accurately, and ensure that you complete all the fields when filling out forms.

2) The customer’s credit card company denies the purchase because charges are applied from a foreign country. Sometimes, as a security measure, credit card companies will deny purchases from a foreign country if they can tell that you have not traveled there recently. It will help if you are able to speak to your credit card company and let them know that regular charges to your credit card are made for purchases from Canadian or International Pharmacies.

Q. Do you accept insurance plans?

A. Our international partner pharmacies do not accept US insurance plans right now. Some personal insurance plans, on an individual basis, accept the charges towards the deductible.

Q. How do I get refills?

A. Three weeks before your medications run out, we will notify you by phone or mail about the upcoming refill date. You may order your refill while you are on the phone. Our pharmacy partners will always monitor your supply and may contact you, too.

Q. Can I order any kind of drugs from your US Mail Order Pharmacies?

A. Yes, a US Mail Order Pharmacy is just like your neighborhood pharmacy. The advantage is discounted prices for the same generic and brand drugs compared to your local pharmacy.

Q. What am I doing if I need habit-forming drugs or narcotics?

A. US Laws do not allow the re-importation of "controlled substances". Canadian or International Pharmacies cannot dispense the above-mentioned medications for American residents. However, our US Mail Order Pharmacies will be happy to send them to you at discounted prices.

Q. What is your privacy policy?

A. At Canada Rx Shop and our pharmacy partners, all patient information is kept strictly confidential and is used only for the purpose of prescription dispensing. Your information will never be sold or used for anything other than filling your prescriptions. We must obey the HIPAA Law.
